Hazel Dells' Story
Hazel Dell Mushrooms is proudly family owned and operated by Jared Scherger and Lucinda Womack in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Hazel Dell originally opened in Watsonville, California in 1980 under James and Antonia Hammond. It moved to the Colorado Front Range in 1995 and has continuously produced the finest quality culinary mushrooms ever since.
Jared joined the farm in 2007 and James quickly became his mentor in all things mushrooms. Lucinda left a career in nursing to join Jared at the farm in 2019 and together they officially assumed ownership in 2020. They are proud to carry on the farm's long-standing legacy as they make their own mark on the industry while seeking to continue to provide the best gourmet organic mushrooms around.
